I finally finished my essay that I have to use for my school's upcoming Speech Contest(that I'm most likely gonna place dead last, if judged in such a way). Everybody had to write about something that involves either just themselves or their home countries. I covered the topic of "Obesity in America", because I kind of felt they were expecting it from me anyway. Here is the entire thing entirely in Japanese. It's better that way, because I don't want you guys(that don't understand Japanese) to laugh at my embarassing essay that'd make an elementary school child point and laugh.

Unfortunately, the show will have to be pushed back to next week. English class was cancelled today because it's a holiday, and Tomoko is back in her hometown for the weekend.

Alright, so that's one more week for questions, folks. I only received questions from two people, and I'm BARELY willing to ask THOSE to her... So go to this LJ entry and comment a question you wanna ask something to me or Tomoko(and please something other than "you think Billy's hot" or anything along the lines of that).

Alright, this Saturday, The Johnny Rainbow Show will have a special guest host! I never thought this would happen, as I just expected to do this in my room by myself. Who knows what might happen next, I just might take this show on the road! First up, Nishijin, next Madison Square Garden, then maybe I'll hit the big time and make it to the Cow Palace at Tupelo, Mississippi!

But I'll be doing this at the church I go to, and I will have as my guest Ms. Tomoko Hino(if you've heard my last podcast, yeeeeah....her...but I'm gonna have this be professional). To give a little info about her, she studied in California for about six or so years, so not only is her English very good, but she also has a decent grasp of American culture. SO, if you'd like to ask her questions, then comment on this entry your question. If you don't have an LJ account and you want to ask a question, then please leave your name or what you prefer to be called on your comment as well.

You can ask whatever you want, but keep in mind that I WILL be doing this at a church, so nothing too raunchy.

Unfortunately, I couldn't save this in mp3 format. It's currently an .ogg file, but I'll fix that in a couple days or so if needed. The opening/closing theme is from the Actraiser soundtrack, the first stage of Fillmore. The plan is I change the music every episode so it'll be something different..that is if this show takes off. Hope you guys enjoy it!

EDIT: Actually, I'm having second thoughts. I'm ultimately feeling disappointed in this, particularly since this is 55 minutes long and I trail off a bit here and there. By the end of the show I just get exhausted. D= Anyway, give your honest opinions please. No sugarcoating if you hate it.

Oh hey dudes, since I have a computer now, I was thinking of making my own little Q&A show or something. Like, I don't have a sound editing program, but I wanna try putting together SOMEthing using the shitty tools that I have(most likely put it up on youtube or whatever).

Anyway, I want to try making a trial episode(I guess a pilot), so here's the deal. You guys can comment on this entry, ask me whatever, and I will try and answer them to the best of my knowledge. Then two weeks later, I'll post up the finished product. If this turns out great, then I might continue it. If not, whatever, I'll just go play Contra or something. haha

Oh, and you might get more out of me if you ask stuff that's within my interests, but that's not a limitation by any means. Ask me whatever you want.

UCLA Student Tasered by UCLA Police for not showing ID

Incident occured around 11:30 p.m. in the Powell Library CLICC computer lab
UCPD officers shot a student several times with a Taser inside the Powell Library CLICC computer lab late Tuesday night before taking him into custody.

No university police officers were available to comment further about the incident as of 3 a.m. Wednesday, and no Community Service Officers who were on duty at the time could be reached.

C'mon. The only thing the guy did was not leave the library quick enough when told. Did it REALLY require the police to actually shoot him with a taser? Also, repeated shots aren't going to get people to stand up any quicker..

EDIT: Okay, after reading more info on this, it seems they tasered him on the grounds of not only being unable to show identification, but also making a huge scene and resisting the officers. Now it's a bit more understandable. But still....four taser shots is still really excessive for this case.

Now I'm kinda mixed about this. Ah well.
